Creamy Everything Bagel Dip with Smoked Salmon Chips

A quick and easy creamy dip inspired by everything bagel flavors, paired with crispy smoked salmon chips for a perfect entertaining snack.

  • 1/2 cup sour cream (full-fat preferred)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Smoked salmon slices (thinly sliced for chips)
  • Olive oil, for brushing salmon chips
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon capers, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the smoked salmon into bite-sized, thin pieces about 1/8-inch thick. Brush lightly with olive oil on both sides.
  3. Arrange the salmon pieces on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crisp but not burnt.
  4. While the salmon chips bake, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise in a medium bowl. Mix with an electric mixer or whisk until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add everything bagel seasoning, lemon juice, garlic powder, fresh dill, and green onions to the dip. Fold gently to combine and taste to adjust seasoning. Add salt or more seasoning if needed.
  6. Optional: Stir in finely chopped capers for a briny kick.
  7. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and sprinkle extra everything bagel seasoning on top. Chill in the fridge for at least 20 minutes to let flavors meld.
  8. Serve the dip chilled or at room temperature with smoked salmon chips and other dippers like cucumber slices or toasted baguette rounds.

Notes

Soften cream cheese before mixing to avoid lumps. Slice salmon about 1/8-inch thick for best crispness. Chill dip for at least 20 minutes for flavor melding. Store leftover dip in fridge up to 3 days and salmon chips at room temperature in airtight container. Reheat chips briefly at 300°F if softened.
