A quick and comforting iced latte featuring warm cinnamon and rich brown sugar flavors blended with creamy oat milk, perfect for a dairy-free caffeine boost.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots (60 ml) espresso or 1/2 cup (120 ml) strong brewed coffee
  • 2 tablespoons (30 g) packed brown sugar (dark or light)
  • 1 teaspoon (2 g) ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup (240 ml) chilled oat milk
  • Ice cubes (about 1 cup or 240 ml to fill glass)
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) vanilla extract (optional)
  • About 2 tablespoons (30 ml) water for syrup

Instructions

  1. Brew 2 shots (60 ml) of espresso or 1/2 cup (120 ml) of strong brewed coffee.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and about 2 tablespoons water. Stir continuously for 2-3 minutes until sugar melts and mixture is smooth. Avoid boiling or burning. Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract if using.
  3. Fill a tall glass with about 1 cup (240 ml) of ice cubes.
  4. Pour the hot espresso or coffee over the ice, then add the brown sugar cinnamon syrup. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Slowly pour 1 cup (240 ml) chilled oat milk over the coffee mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or coffee strength if desired by adding more syrup or espresso.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Use freshly ground cinnamon for best flavor. Melt sugar syrup gently over low heat to avoid burning. Chill oat milk before use to maintain iced texture. Syrup can be stored in fridge up to two weeks and gently reheated before use. Adjust coffee strength and sweetness to taste.
