A refreshing and creamy mango lassi smoothie with a subtle hint of cardamom, perfect for a quick breakfast or cooling afternoon treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup (240 ml) plain yogurt (full-fat Greek yogurt preferred)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk (whole milk or almond/soy milk for lighter option)
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 cup ice cubes (optional if using frozen mango)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Peel the mangoes and chop them into roughly 1-inch pieces. If using frozen mango, let them soften slightly at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  2. Place the mango chunks, 1 cup plain yogurt, 1/2 cup milk, 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup, and 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom into the blender jar.
  3. Add 1 cup of ice cubes for chill and texture. Reduce or omit ice if using frozen mango for a thicker smoothie.
  4. Secure the lid and blend on high for 30-60 seconds until the smoothie is thick, velvety, and smooth. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more honey or syrup if desired, then pulse again for 10 seconds.
  6. Pour into chilled glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use ripe mangoes for best flavor. Adjust sweetness to taste. For dairy-free version, substitute yogurt with coconut yogurt and milk with almond or oat milk. Blend thoroughly for smooth texture. Chill glasses before serving for extra refreshment.
